If you want to know more about E-RIHS: what’s important in connecting people to facilities, resources and services, you are invited to join this workshop.
The Swedish ArchLab is a great example of a national infrastructure for archaeological science. Phil Buckland, Director of ArchLab (Umeå University) will give a talk about the national infrastructure in Sweden, supported by Harald Hedman-Rebernig, ArchLab coordinator.
After his talk we will ‘dissect’ the situation in the Netherlands. What is our national infrastructure for archaeological science? What are our strengths and weaknesses? What can we learn from the Swedes?
E-RIHS is a pan-European distributed research infrastructure for heritage science. It is important for archaeology as a discipline, to connect researchers and to stimulate an inclusive multidisciplinary approach in order to create a profound understanding of our past.
