Degradation walk - Walking around the ship

Take a walk around the ship “De Meern 1” with Hans Huisman. During the walk, questions will be answered regarding the wonder of “Why has this ship been preserved?”. Questions such as “What happens to archaeological material in the soil?”, “How well preserved is well-preserved wood?”, and "What do you do with archaeological wood during and after an excavation?" will be addressed.

Which (types of) data underpin the design of the inner courtyard and the appearance of the watchtower? And what were the findings from the on-site analysis of a sample from a foundation pile of Theater Hoge Woerd?
