Especially for the ArcheoScienceFest, no fewer than five international science stars are being flown in! Drawing on their own expertise and background, they will shed light on a Dutch site or theme. In the theatre hall of the Castellum, they will engage in conversation with a Dutch counterpart – and, of course, with the audience.

Throughout the day, there are five one-hour Science Dialogues, each featuring one international keynote speaker and one discussant. The topics range from tracing Dutch whaling ships in the Arctic region and the spectacular analysis results of sod turf from the Valkenburg legionary fort to the contribution of sedimentary DNA to research on the Dutch Limes. You won't want to miss it!

In the theatre hall of the castellum, they will engage in dialogue with a Dutch respondent – and with the audience of course. Moderators are Lisette Kootker and Hayley Mickleburgh.
Throughout the day, there will be five of these Science Dialogues, each featuring one international keynote speaker and one respondent in a one-hour session.
Topics will range from the search for Dutch whaling ships in the Arctic region and the spectacular analysis results of turf samples from the rampart of the Valkenburg legionary fortress, to the contribution of sedaDNA to research on the Dutch Limes. This is something you definitely don’t want to miss!
