What is a festival without music?
Naturally, we'll provide you with a fitting musical accompaniment!
Judith Nijland Kwartet – Carmina Latina
10:00 – 10:30, 11:15 – 11:45, 12:30 – 13:00
Jazz singer, composer and classicist Judith Nijland opens the musical part of the festival with her quartet (vocals, piano, bass and drums) with which she also performs on international stages. Entirely in the style of the Roman castellum, she will do this in Utrecht in Latin! A preview? Listen to Carmina Latina on Spotify.
Science Disco – DJ Mario van IJzendoorn
13:30 – 14:00, 14:30 – 15:00, 17:00 – 17:30, 20:00 – 21:00
A Silent Disco at ScienceFest, so it's going to be a Science Disco! DJ Mario is probably no stranger to some of you and he happily takes requests. So start thinking about your Science playlist... Headphones on and let's get dancing.
Arthur and Friends
16:00 – 16:30, 18:00 – 18:30, 19:00 – 19:30
Celtic music and more…
This five-piece band describes themselves like this. They play Irish and Scottish traditional music on violin, uilleann pipes, bodhrán, bouzouki and tin whistle, but with instruments such as the French bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy and the Swedish nyckelharpa, they also play music from other countries. Those who were at the Reuvensdagen in Hoorn may have already heard them play. For others, they are here to see and to hear.
