Jan van 't Hof is a member of the interim board of E-RIHS.EU. Together with Dr. Robert Verhoogt, he forms the delegation on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Jan van't Hof is trained as an art historian. He published on a number of topics such as natural stone, monasteries and controversial heritage in the period from 1800 onwards.
Hij was bestuurlid van internationale projecten zoals het Joint Programming Initiative Cultural Heritage, IPERION Cultural Heritage en IPERION Heritage Science. Bij de RCE was hij onder meer regiohoofd, hoofd van het laboratorium en hoofd Monumenten en Collecties.
