Moorea Hall-Aquitania

Moorea Hall-Aquitania is Senior Collectiespecialist Materiaal-technisch Onderzoek at the RKD. She is responsible for the development, management, and accessibility of the RKD’s material-technical documentation collections and contributes to research infrastructure for technical art history and conservation. She specialises in sixteenth and seventeenth-century painting techniques, with particular attention to the spread and use of coloured grounds in Netherlandish painting. She completed her PhD at the University of Amsterdam within the NWO-funded project Down to the Ground. Her work promotes interdisciplinary research in which technical analysis and the documentation of artworks play a central role.
